I listen to podcasts and audiobooks whenever doing something taking little attention. I listen to an audiobook, at the same time I gather podcast MP3s in a folder. When done, I move the podcasts to my phone, listen to them in a batch, and move to the next book.
It makes no difference to me, which day of the week a podcast comes out, and if I comment on an episode, it usually comes a few weeks late. 😄

I'm guessing, not everyone does it this way.
